2015/05/20

On 16 May, the Preliminary Round for the 14th "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students was held in the University of Melbourne. Consul General Song Yumin addressed the competition. Victorian Minister for Multicultural Affairs Robin Scott, Director of the office of International Relations of University of Melbourne Dr. Gabriele Suder, experts and scholars on Chinese language in local universities attended the competition.

In his remarks, Consul General Song mentioned that, as language is the epitome of a culture, the "Chinese Bridge" Competition has become a bridge that connects the college students in China and other parts of the world. He looks forward to the day when more Australian young people learn about the Chinese language and culture, and become envoys of friendship between our two peoples.
